The Field Scout is a versatile working knife designed for bushcraft, hunting, camp chores and general outdoor use. The blade is made from proven O1 tool steel and measures 3/16 inch thick. O1 is valued for its toughness, dependable edge performance and practical field sharpening. The blade also features a 90-degree spine for scraping and use with a ferrocerium fire starter.
The five-inch handle is shaped by hand in QuickHatch’s signature Coke-bottle profile. Its natural contours provide a secure, comfortable grip and help maintain control during different cutting positions.
This particular Field Scout features dark-brown Richlite scales, orange G10 liners and brass pins. Richlite is a dense, durable composite material with a clean, traditional appearance. The orange liners add a distinctive contrast along the tang, while the brass pins complement the warm-brown handle.
Every QuickHatch knife is made by Brent Good in Idaho. Brent handles the process from start to finish, including profiling, grinding, heat treating, finishing and shaping the handle by hand.
