Warranty & Repair Policy
QuickHatch Knife Co. Warranty & Workmanship Guarantee
At QuickHatch Knife Co., every knife is handcrafted one at a time in Idaho using carefully selected materials and built to be a dependable working tool. I stand behind the quality of my craftsmanship and want you to have confidence in your purchase.
Lifetime Workmanship Guarantee
Your QuickHatch knife is covered for the lifetime of the original owner against defects in materials or workmanship under its intended use as a cutting tool.
If a problem occurs because of a defect in craftsmanship or materials, I will inspect the knife and, at my discretion, repair or replace it with the same model or a comparable model if the original is no longer available.
Intended Use
QuickHatch knives are designed for demanding outdoor use, including hunting, camping, bushcraft, food preparation, and everyday cutting tasks. They are built to be used-not displayed-but no knife is indestructible.
This Warranty Does Not Cover
This warranty does not cover damage resulting from:
- Throwing the knife.
- Prying, chiseling, or using the knife as a screwdriver, pry bar, or hammer.
- Excessive batoning through materials beyond the knife's intended purpose.
- Striking rocks, concrete, metal, or other hard surfaces.
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, or improper maintenance.
- Rust or corrosion resulting from failure to properly clean and care for the knife.
- Damage from sharpening, modifications, repairs, or alterations performed by anyone other than QuickHatch Knife Co.
- Normal cosmetic wear, including scratches, coating wear, leather sheath wear, or the natural patina that develops on carbon steel.
Sharpening & Maintenance
A working knife will naturally lose its edge with use. Routine sharpening and regular maintenance are normal ownership responsibilities and are not considered warranty issues.
Repair Policy
Even if your knife has been damaged in a way that is not covered under this warranty, I will do my best to help. Whenever possible, I offer reasonable repair services to keep your knife in service. If a repair is possible, I will discuss the available options before any work is performed.
The customer is responsible for safely packaging and shipping the knife to QuickHatch Knife Co. unless otherwise agreed. QuickHatch Knife Co. will provide shipping instructions before a knife is returned.
Customers must not mail a knife before contacting QuickHatch Knife Co. and receiving return instructions.
Any repair cost, return-shipping responsibility, or replacement decision for damage not covered by the warranty will be explained before work begins.
