BLADE

The Field Scout features a 4.5-inch blade crafted from premium O1 tool steel. At 3/16-inch thick, the blade provides excellent strength while maintaining the cutting performance needed for detailed field work. The versatile blade profile offers plenty of control for precision tasks while providing enough cutting edge for processing game, preparing camp materials, and handling everyday outdoor chores.

Like all of our outdoor knives, the Field Scout features a crisp 90-degree spine, making it an excellent tool for striking a ferro rod and preparing tinder in the field.

HANDLE SHAPE AND LENGTH

The Field Scout is fitted with a comfortable 5-inch coke bottle handle, a design that has become known for its outstanding ergonomics and all-day comfort. The natural contours of the handle fill the hand securely, reducing fatigue and hot spots during extended use. Whether you're performing delicate cutting tasks or heavier camp work, the handle provides exceptional control and confidence in any grip position.

STEEL AND HEAT TREATING

Crafted from high-carbon O1 tool steel, the Field Scout is built to withstand years of hard use. Each blade is heat treated and tempered to 60 Rockwell (HRC), providing an excellent balance of toughness, edge retention, and cutting performance. This proven steel is trusted by outdoorsmen for its ability to take a razor-sharp edge and maintain dependable performance in demanding conditions.
